Brian was born in Detroit, Michigan. He received a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Wayne State University. Before studying law, he worked for Boeing on the U.S. Navy F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet fighter aircraft program (St. Louis, MO) and the U.S. Air Force Delta IV rocket program (Huntington Beach, CA). After graduating cum laude from Whittier Law School in 2005, he stayed on at Boeing as patent attorney/engineer, and also worked part-time in a small law firm in Long Beach, California doing personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. Brian relocated to Hawaii in 2008 joining the Honolulu law firm Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel as a litigation associate. In 2010 he opened his own law office concentrating his practice to Family Law and Wills & Trusts.
